Where do I start? I invested in my first house at 19 years old. I love to "Test" things. I've tested the Airforce , did it for 3 years Got out, I tested out being a Police officer for a short stint-wasn't for me. I tested out the life of a bartender on the water in South Florida, from what I remember about the bartender years it was wild ...All were exciting and rewarding tests. The experience I've gained from each laid the foundation for what was about to occur. . My passion has always been real Estate Investing. In 1995-96 I found myself with an opportunity to get involved with finance within the mortgage industry. with in 2 years and with 5k borrowed off my credit card I opened a small mortgage bank. I built that firm and a few others in the holding company into an INC. 500 company doing between 1.3 - 1.6 BILLION dollars in loan volume annually. I'm not writing this to brag, but to share my experiences. See in 2006, with 42 offices in 42 states and with over 950 associates the bottom fell out and I lost everything, in the blink of an eye- overnight I was flat BROKE.
Going from the TOP of the world financially, spiritually, mentally & emotionally and then literally hitting ROCK bottom , will either break a man or cause him to bounce so dam high nothing can or will stop him.
Old Cliche , but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, true in my experience.
Fast forward, i took everything I had left, which was my Mind and the experiences of growing an Inc 500 company and have turned my focus and energies to my passion. Investing into real estate.
with NO money, No Credit No JOB (I'm unemployable) BUT with BALLS and experience I just started doing deals.
Today I have at any given time 70+ deals in one phase or another . My focus is on rehabbing - however Ive sold tons of deals wholesale , Ive bought deals wholesale _Ive mentored teams of newbees and Ive Literally mastered the art of the deal .
