I am brand new to Real Estate investing world... I have had some limited experience ( about 1 year) with the stock market and that is all. I am currently active duty Marine Corps and have under 2 years left on my contract. My goal is to set myself up financially upon getting out of the military and to conitinue to gain wealth as I age... Very broad, I know... but its my start. Currently I am browsin the San Diego market looking for a forclosure fixer upper property that I will finance through a 203K loan, I may do this on my own or with a good friend of mine who is my investment partner to be. All questions, comments, and especially advice is greatly appreciated !
NONE.... I own a timeshare ( more like a point share) through RCI.... Basically I wasted my money... btw, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for it? Or possibly want to purchase it? Thanks in advance!
First and foremost: Buy a foreclosure fixer upper in San Diego ( my current duty station with the Marines) with the help of the 203k loan program. Then, continue to expand my real estate collection into apartments and/or multi unit housing to create cash flow. Somewere between that time I will also purchase paper real estate ( as in Tax liens/deeds). Eventually I want to own a good sized apartment or collection of condo's for a positive cash flow and along with that continue to buy, rehab, and sell properties in the SoCal area.
Foreclosure fixer upper in San Diego, CA. Price range depends on if I do it alone or with my good friend and future investment partner.
Alone: under 200k
Together: under 350k
ALL IDEAS AND ADVICE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
