After trying to make enough money through working for an employer, I have decided that if I never take a step by myself I will never go anywhere. I am responsible for my Mom, and she has always wanted to go to Alaska, before she dies I am hoping to make enough money to clean up my credit and pay off my moms bills and be able to get a house in a decent neighborhood, where you don't have to worry as much about getting shot in your front yard.. I have no previous experience and am in the process of wating for some real estate gurus books to come in the mail. I am hoping to have at least 3-5 rental properties in a year from now. I am looking to get properties that are being sold by mortgage companies, banks, the government, or for sale by owner. To perk my interest the properties would have to be in missouri preferably in east Independence, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Liberty, and surrounding areas, that are being sold below equity by at least 30-50% , and that will appraise at 30-50% more than the purchase price.
