I was raised in the mid-west and have a mid-westerner's view of hard work and reward, and fairness. Anyone that I do business with comes away with a sense of my willingness to make a deal work for everyone involved. On the flip side, I can usually sense dishonest and shady people and I do my best to never do business with them.

In my copious amounts of spare time I love hiking in the mountains and foothills in Colorado in the summer and in the winter I usually get about 20 days of snowboarding in. I love this state!

Experience

3 years experience with single family rental units. All aspects including acquisition, financing, rehab, tenant placement and property management. I had the intention of acquiring 30-40 SFH rentals in the Denver area during the 2006-2008 timeframe. That plan changed when the U.S. economy tanked and at that point I transitioned my plan to include fix and flips.

2 years experience with fix and flips in the Denver Metro area. 16 successful projects completed to date. I've learned that I am not handy with any aspect of flips and my time is more wisely spent generating new business and not taping sheetrock joints. I really enjoy the process of overseeing a project especially when the transformation of the property has a positive impact on the neighborhood/neighbors and the end buyer.


Real Estate Goals

I will expand my flipping business to a level of 3 projects per month. Over the next 12 months I will wean myself off of the MLS flip market and generate properties to buy or flip via direct mail to distressed owners. I will look for owners with equity and those who I can help with a short sale. I am looking to find a niche where the competition is not as intense - at least a little less than I'm seeing in the Denver flip market.
