I am a business student at the University of Illinois and am looking to get into real estate in order to get on the path to financial freedom early on.

To achieve financial freedom through real estate! In the short term, to begin to learning the ins and outs of buying, rehabbing when needed, and selling properties, and finding financing when you have no experience and negligible net worth.
