The Single Most Important Mistake to Avoid as a New Wholesaler

A lot of people think they have what it takes to begin their journey in the real estate investing world, but that is just not true. People often overlook the education, time, research, and diligence it takes to truly become a wholesale real estate investor, let alone a successful one. 

Although there are many mistakes someone can make when it comes to real estate wholesaling, the single most important mistake is not getting the right education and guidance from the right people. I personally experienced working with the “wrong” person as a new wholesaler and that was a hard lesson.Nothing beats a good old fashioned education in the fundamentals and talking to the right people. Without these keys variables, you will certainly fail in not just real estate wholesaling but even real estate investing as well. These are just some of the mistakes to avoid as a wholesaler.

Investing in yourself and gaining that education is something that is not just important for real estate but the real world in general

You become a much wiser real estate investor and someone who is knowledgeable and can become very profitable. If you go into the real estate market without the proper education and guidance, you will certainly spend more labor and time on something than you would have otherwise if you were taught it beforehand. The value of what you can learn by getting the proper training and education far outweighs jumping into the business and thinking you will make “quick” money.

Not receiving proper guidance from the right people is also a big mistake that can cost you dearly. 

I know first hand and that’s why I am writing this article to encourage others not to make this mistake. When it comes to the internet, everyone will always think they know best but you should know bad information from good information. Receiving quality advice is something that is far more essential than what you could ever teach yourself. You do not want to talk to or work with people who have only “dabbled” in something and not have a proven track record of success. These are just two of the mistakes to avoid as a wholesaler. If you can remember that, the sky will truly be the limit!
