Can anyone recommend a good Birmingham property manager that deals with Section 8 single family homes? My current one is always telling me there is not a big back log or response, which is why it's taking him a couple of months to rent some of my houses. Everyone else tells me the opposite. I think the biggest issue is he doesn't advertise in the newspaper like everyone else, because he doesn't want to be bothered answering the calls!

He really doesn't have a good attitude, among other issues, so I need to find someone else.

I really couldn't find a good one last year, so I decided to do it myself (from NY), while using a local contractor that was interested in being my "maintenance man", taking all calls from tenants, and collecting rent from the non-section 8 tenants each month.

It keeps me busy! Considering I have a full time day job, rentals in other states, and am a single mom, I will eventually not be able to juggle everything as I grow my portfolio, but for now I'm handling it with 8 houses.

I have found someone that I would at least consider if I were to flip over to a traditional property manager. Her contact info is:
