Raising Rents

I am sending out notices to some tenants informing them of higher rents that will be starting in a few months from now. My concern is that they will still pay the old rent when it is time for the increase and then if I have to take them to court they will say they did not receive notice and I will possibly have to serve again and wait 30 days.

I could have constable deliver but cost is $40 each tenant. How about certified mail or some sort of mail with a receipt of delivery? Suggestions?
