My name is Mike and I'm just starting out in investing. I've attended a couple "foreclosure investing bootcamps" and they make it sound alot easier than it is. So I'm here to see if I can speed up this learning process. Thanks for all the help!

Welcome to the group. You'll find lot's of info here at the site. Are limited to foreclosures or, are you looking for a specific buying situation to invest in?

Hi Mike,

I have been an investor for 6 years and have 44 units now. I dont believe in quick, short cut get rich quick schemes. Real estate is like any other business, dedicate youself to learning the business and work like hell. I believe in education to get ahead faster than trial and error. Seminars are great, I also attend them as I see fit. Buy books and read them. I recomend Kyosaki's rich dad series,donald Trumps books as well as David Lindals materials. This is a lot of hard work and endless hours of studying and rersearch, but for me it has been worth it. I try not to let the instant success stories frustrate me because I think most of them fail after a couple years because they didnt have the experience to handle the crazy things that happen in this business. Let me know how you are doing.

Thanks Dick,

Um well right now I dont have any money. So whatever exit strategy works best with not using your own money. Maybe wholesaling? But I want to learn as much as I can about everything and make decisions based on the best strategy for that property and me. Do you think bird-dogging would be the best way to learn the ropes?

yea Randall I agree, I'm not really planning for a get rich quick type of thing. The seminar was free from a buddy through EWI. Its easy to read about things, but actually applying them is where it all counts. So thats kind of the step I'm looking to take. But yea thanks for the advice, hopefully someday I'll be saying the same things as you.
