There are some great tie-ins as a RE investor and an electrical contractor. One of the largest bills in remodel & repair of properties is the electrical contractor. Doing the work yourself, or having your company do it, not only saves the RE biz, but it creates work for the EC biz.

Christian, I chose to invest in real estate as a way to diversify. As you can imagine, the construction business isn't in great shape right and I would like to have some alternate income sources when the next downturn comes. (If this one ever ends!!)

Tracy, are there any specific areas you are looking? SF, condos...? I live in Eagle County(Vail, Beaver Creek Ski Resorts) but I have good contacts in Denver and Colorado Springs as well. I also have good contacts in north shore Boston and North Miami Beach, Delray Beach areas of Florida if you are interested. I will definetly ask around and let you know if I come up with anything.

MR_, I'm almost exclusively in rehabs at the moment, not much new construction going on and it is very competitive right know. High end residential is my bread and butter, but I also do commercial projects. I have over twenty years experience in almost every aspect of the electrical industry.

Welcome. I was a Broker doing syndication there in the late 70's in Littleton,co.. 1979 was the 100 year storm. I have a photo of a great big tow truck, pulling a small tow truck, which was pulling MY car from a stuck position. I went back to OR in 1980!!
