I'm ready to learn and act quickly!

I was a loan originator for a few years until the market crashed. For the past year I've been working on about a half dozen short sales - NONE of which have closed.

I'd like to keep plugging away at short sales as well as look at subject to and wholesaling to start. Once I have some cash reserves I'd love to do green rehabs on multi-family units and hold them.

I am definitely looking for a mentor who is willing to help me get going quickly.

Welcome! You definitley came to the right place. I have already learned a ton from the knowlegable members here. Make sure you ask questions, read, and network.

I am sure you will find a mentor, but you might have to convince someone that you are willing to work hard, put in the time, and learn as much as you can.

Hello Dave and welcome to BP. I have many moons in the mortgage business, and not so much fun these days. Keep plugging on the short sales and maybe look at REO's - both will have stong potential for at least the next two years.

I have to second Clint. I have only bben here a couple of weeks and I have to say I think I have given myself information overload. There is so much to learn here that it is incredible.
Work hard and try to ask as many questions as you can if you hit a sticking point. Everyone here that can help WILL help. I am a rehabber and I am right up the road. I am trying to learn the investment aspect of real estate as well.

Hey Dave,

I also have years in the mortgage industry and although I still do them I am more focused on my Real Estate Investment endeavors.
