Lets get Started Los Angeles

Hey my name is Joseph Goode, and I live in Studio City, CA which is in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. Im 25 years old and i feel right now is the perfect time to get involved in the real estate investment business. I almost bought my first property when I was 20 but I backed out because I was scared. As of now I am learning so much form book, internet, seminars and from people around here but I still dont know what to area of the real estate business I should jump into. I dont really have any money but I do have the smarts to get any deal done. Right now, if anyone can be a mentor to me and help me out, I would love it so much and I will succeed. So hit me up whenever because I am down to learn!!! :D

What do you think I should do with starting out with investing. Short Sales, Preforeclosure? let me know and how do I find some private lender or hard money that I can trust. Man I want to learn so much

Talk to Will Banard. I'm a cashflow investor and would not have imagined a 2% buy (search forums for an explantion) in SoCal possible but Will found it.

Eddie Ziv is also in Studio City I think (maybe I'm confusing his neighborhood with Matty's right now). I know he'll be busy for a little while but he's a good source for the ups and downs and hows of Californians doing long distance land lording.

Lots of good SoCal guys here.

Hi Joseph,
1. you gotta figure out what kind of investing you're interested in
2. find a realtor who will make it easy for you to buy/sell
3. go for it! There's too many people who just talk. Look for a mentor if you wish but in the meantime do your thing, learn as you go. There's no better way :)

Yeah- thanks guys. I have been looking for a mentor here in LA but nothing really. Im looking to start out with wholesaling and short sales but I just need a little more knowledge. I feel like im lacking what a mentor could offer me to get started. SO if you know of anyone that wants to have lunch and talk, let me know.

Hey- much respect to you Jason for working the investing biz in the Bay- I lived in Nor Cal and I know the Bay is super hard. Keep it up.
