I wanted to personally wish all the folks here at BP a Happy Thanksgiving.

Lets all post a few things we are thankful for:

1. I am thankful for my family.
Without their love, understanding and support, I would be working a 9-5 job and miserable!

They have seen the good times, and bad times, that go along with the real estate investment business, and they have never questioned the path we have taken.

I credit my success to my wife for being the person who puts up with the long hours and travel that I must do.

I also credit my children, as they were the catalyst that showed me there is more to life than just myself. When I became a father, all selfishness flew out the door. These two beautiful girls are dependent on me, and I strive to be the best for them.

Excellent topic Harrison! We should take time to say what we are thankful for at all times, but today especially.

I am thankful for my family and friends first of all. I am thankful for the legacy my father and grandfather left in me. I am thankful that I live in the greatest country on the earth. I'm thankful for the opportunities that are continuously given to me. Finally, I really am thankful for this forum, you folks here and my other associations in the investing community. You continually challenge me to let go of assumptions and limitations and continuously improve myself.

Two of our company's team members lost a father (died unexpectedly) and the other a grandfather in the past few days. A stark reminder that our time on this Earth is finite.

So, I very am grateful for my friends and family. Without them, I would not be the person I am today.

So-- abbreviated verson.... thankful for all the usual (family, etc.) and plan to tell them all this afternoon once that blasted bird is finished.

Specifically thankful this year for our band of rent houses that provide a cushion during tough economic times. Unbelievably thankful that all the kids came in last night for a relaxed day of baking and decorating.
