Energy that Multiplies Itself

I'm a Tesla nerd so this kind of stuff really gets me interested. I'm sure the way it "produces 5 times as much energy as it consumes" is a combination of taking in some electrical charge and using that with the magnets surrounding it to create the "5 times as much power". It's a great concept and not unlike every natural source of power that creates much more electrical power than it consumes (i.e. niagra falls).

There's no explanation at all in how is supposedly works. Short of some physics we just don't understand (entirely possible), energy does not come from nowhere.

Hydro power generates more energy than is input into the power plant because the sun moves the water from the oceans uphill by way of rain.

Petroleum produces more energy than is consumed in extracting, refining an transporting it because biological organisms captured the suns energy in the form of converting simple molecules into more complex ones.

There are fundamentally only two sources of energy available to us with out current knowledge of physics - solar and radioactive decay. Nuclear fusion does generate energy, but always less than the amount of energy input into the reaction. Other than the small amount produced from nuclear (fission) reactors, our entire energy supply is solar. Oil, gas, wind, photovoltaic, biofuels -- all are really solar.

If someone finds an actual explanation of what's going on with this engine, I'd like to see it. They claim to have filed a patent. A patent application must contain enough information that a person skilled in the art can replicate the device. So, if they're really filed a patent, ALL the details about this invention are publicly available. Lets see them.

Fundamentally, the second law of thermodynamics (yes, I have a degree in physics) eliminates the possibility of such a device actually creating energy from nowhere. Any device which creates organized energy, e.g., electricity, create a correspondingly larger increase in entropy (i.e., the waste gases produced by burning gas) somewhere else.

I was speaking with Mr. Ladika of the South West Institute some months back as I find this interesting as well. He told me that some of these devices do indeed produce more energy the problem is its in the form of heat friction so it's lost in translation essentially.

Still I liked this one because I was discussing the principals of it with him. My theory was that if you used pistons and harnessed the oscillating air pressure it might work a little more efficiently.
