Philadelphia design question

So I began the process for searching for deals here Philadelphia. I have put offers in and one came close but ultimately fell through. I am searching for MFH to hoId and SFH to flip. I will continue the process until I find one that fits my criteria. With that being said something crossed my mind that I should have thought about a while ago.

Am I suppose to know how to design the kitchen or bathroom? Or what tiles will go best with what cabinets or counter tops?

I do not possess the creativity when it comes to home design to decide how I want the kitchen or bathroom to look and what materials I want to use. I am an IT guy so I don’t get to many opportunities to sharpen my decorating skills.

How should I approach this? Are GC’s able to choose designs? Is there a designer software program that can do that or would I hire a designer here in philly ? What do you guys do in your renovations? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
