Any Good Cheap Notes?

I don't know a lot about investing in real estate, and even less about buying notes but I'm slowly learning. I have completed a couple deals that put some money in my pocket. Since I don't have a system in place to keep a steady supply of short sales going, I have looked in to buying mobile homes and selling them Lonnie style to create cash flow. I like the thought of receiving monthly payments while I try to implement a better strategy of cranking out short sales. The question I have is, can some one build a good portfolio of notes between the $2,000-$15,000 price range?

Thanks,

Alex
