I have a couple mobile homes that need interior windows. About 5 total. The interior windows have about 4" of gap to the exterior windows. Interior and exterior open. They are odd sizes that I can't find. What is a cost-effective way to replace the missing interior windows (and frames)?

What about just using ordinary house windows? You can order those whatever size you want at Home Depot or similar stores. Never tried to get them thinner, but maybe they can do that too. If not, could you put some brickmold on the outside and trim on the inside to make up the difference?

Are you describing storm windows? If so, they are very effective at weatherization.

Mobile home sizes are different on almost everything. So you can try at a mobile home supply store.

Your best bet is simply to have a glass place make you windows to fit. Single pane windows are easy to make. They cut the aluminum frame to the right size and snap it together, then cut the glass to fit.

If you are marginally handy, it's easy to make a wooden window frame and just have the glass cut to fit. Install the glass with window points and putty, and you are good to go.

Jon in the past I have used mobile home depot. I am not sure if they have one near you. Other wise I agree with Jon just used standard replacements. And in your area I would check with a company called Moss.

Are these rentals? I've never worked on mobile homes but on rental houses I go next size down and put in wood material (shims and small boards) to fill the gaps and create something solid to screw through the window into the frame, then fill the gap with spray foam and wrap over with aluminum.
