Anyone in the Austin market? how's it looking down there ?
I have a friend in Dallas who says it has tanked. Not sure about Austin.
I thought the texas markets were relatively stable. that's unfortunate
I have been investing in TX for almost 2 years. Have been very pleased with south texas- mcallen area. Ranked #1 for future appreciation for 3 years straight. Money mag, (last 3 years) forbes.com 2 months ago, Fortune and others.
I haven't been as happy with San Antonio or Dallas sfrs. I'm currently buying multi family in Dallas area. Have a 150 unit in the due diligence period and looking hard at a couple others. I'm bullish on that area and also parts of FL. Rich.
Austin is doing okay...in the uptick we are going to thrive. Austin was recently voted the #1 city for the next decade by Yahoo. Low taxes and solid job prospects should drive a lot of growth here.
