Hello,
Can someone please share with me how you find absentee owners or owners that do not live in the city and or state where their property is located.
I would like to start mailing once a week to absentee owners and probate executors.
Thank You

You can use a list broker like melissadata or listsource. Or, use the county records. Many counties have them online and you can get the data for free, though not in a very usable form. You basically search through the records for the area you're farming for properties where the owner's address is out of the area. Just depends on whether you have time or money.
Hi,
For absentee owners you will be searching for property owners that e have an address different than the property address. This data can be found in your county property tax department.
For probates, you will need to to locate the records department for probate courts in your county. You will be looking for the executor/personal representative application to locate the mailing address. You can also verify that there is real estate or "Real Property" in the inventory filling in the case file.
Thank you for the responses. I do not have properties in mind. How would you suggest I search my county's tax records. They ask a name, prop addy etc.
Thank You
See if they have a web site. Better see if they sell the data.
Otherwise, try the people Jon suggested, they sell them.
Searching for data is fine as long as the prospect fits your needs. I use listsource and like the filters allowed. Good luck.

Many counties have some sort of web site. Some have map-based systems similar to zillow where you can click on a property and get the info. Some have much more obtuse systems that will leave you scratching you head (or worse.) If you can find and figure out your target county's system, you can just chug through it address by address looking for candidate properties. If they do have something online and free, which is pretty common, and you can figure it out, then you can get this information for free. You can use zillow to find actual addresses, if the county doesn't have anything map based. Some of these systems are really convoluted and take some time to figure out. And I've never seen two that are the same.
Some counties allow you to enter a range of street numbers and get a list of addresses in that range.
We do have a list of county recorder offices.
Some counties have services that will let you select the criteria you want and get a list. These usually aren't free.
Some title companies also have services where you can get property data. Some are online and can be similar to county systems, sometimes they will sell you a list.
By far the easiest is one of those list brokers. Not free, but not as expensive as you might think.
Also consider contacting a titile/escrow company for such contact lists.
