I'd recommend Bill Bronchick - I have read a couple of courses on wholesaling(Steve Cook, Preston Ely, Ken Williams, Bronchick) - he covers a lot of legal stuff that you need to know. Check ebay after you figure out what you're going to buy.

I thought you're looking for a REI course with meat, not just a $10 book with basic information freely available on the web. Amazon does not sell courses, only hard- and softcover books.
In this case, I do not know what book to suggest - none of the $10 books will give you enough information to get started.

From what I understand, wholesaling has not become a main source of investing until the relatively recent past (5-10 years) and many books focus on purchasing properties as an investor, not professionally wholesaling as a viable investment option. I have yet to find a book with comprehensive information centered around wholesaling. Most books that I have read may mention "assigning contracts" over a few pages, but go into little detail on how to successfully do this.

In my opinion, you have found the premier source of information on BP. This site is full of information and has a few noted authors that express their methods in the forums. Take advantage of what they say, its worth more than anything you can read in a generic book.

Hey Matthew, Start up price for a wholesaling business varies. Most of your expenses will go into marketing and depending on what type of marketing your doing you can invest from $100-1,000 dollars.

Also check out Vena Jones-Cox. Google her name and it will direct you to her website. She has an updated wholesaling course and an advanced wholesaling course to discuss different and more complicated options for acquiring the contract. I have both and went to her wholesaling seminar in NJ last april. She seems very knowledgeable and ethical, and I've never had a problem with her company. Anyone else have any opinions on her stuff?

I've bought a wholesaling course but cant remember the author off hand. Also i've began to read a few e-books, but i mainly have learned alot through hundreds of articles posted on the web. Theres definitely alot of information for free on the web!
