In 2008 I bought an office building which I still own. It's fully occupied. JOINED BIGGERPOCKETS. In 2009 and 2010 I acquired a portfolio of single family homes. I bought most of them through the HUD auctions, but picked up some REO's, too. I flipped a few, but kept most for income. In 2010 I bought a ranch that was my homestead for 6 years. I since added a pond, a small lake, a cabin, and a shop with apartment over it. I sold the home and 28 acres in the Spring of 2016, Still have 78 acres that I may sell or develop. In 2011 I started building and selling spec homes in Austin. In 2012 I flipped a ranch. I bought a 7000 sf unfinished foreclosure, 51 acres surrounding it from different owners, finished the home, and sold the entire property. In 2013 built several new spec homes. They are typically 1500-2100 SF and sold for $350K-$550K. 2014--Built and sold more spec homes in Austin. Selling off some SFR rentals. 2015--Sold some more SFR's. Bought 7 Austin homes in a package. Bought Austin commercial property. Bought land parcels. Bought new primary residence. Sold some more new construction homes. 2016--Sold multiple land parcels. Sold prior personal home. Currently building 7 homes. Rehabbing 2 homes. Bought commercial corner. Looking at development deals. Looking at raw land. 2017 - Sold a few Austin spec homes. Rehabbed and sold 2 Dallas homes. Bought 70 acres connected to 48 I already owned in Hunt County. Bought 38 acres in another part of Hunt County. Bought a commercial parcel with a small group and plan to build an office building and restaurant. Bought a small commercial building adjacent to another restaurant I own in order to expand. 2018 - Sold some Austin spec homes. Bought two restaurant buildings. Rehabbed one of them. Bought and rehabbed a bed and breakfast. Bought more land. 2019 - Started on construction on 5 more spec homes in East Austin. Developed 12 acre Greenville property with new 4/3 home. Switched several Austin rentals to STR's. Sold some acreage. Invested in ground up development of mixed use project with office, co-working, restaurant and coffee shop. 2020 - Completed 5 spec homes in East Austin. Sold 3 East Austin homes, YTD. Built new addition on personal home. Sold new 4/3 on 12 acres in Greenville. Sold several acreages in Hunt County. Completed construction and lease up of Sunnyvale mixed use project.
