Hi there,
I rented rooms out in my house last year and am slowly learning as I go. I just learned about the CRP and had a few questions that I couldn't find answered on the MN DOR website. I can't call until Monday, so I figured I'd try here for answers.
How do I calculate the "number of adults living in the unit"? Do I count in that number (I lived in the house)? I rented to two individuals on their own leases in their own rooms.
In this situation do I still average the rent paid for each roommate? If so, do I have to factor my expenses into calculating their rent paid(e.g. Do I issue a CRP to myself)?

You list the amount they paid you in rent on the CRP form, expenses don't matter, there is no reason to calculate an average. If they paid you $4,000, write that they paid you $4,000.
If you owned the house you did not pay any rent.... So no you do not have to issue yourself a CRP for rent paid...
