Hey! I'm Tyler. In 2016 I had a vision. I had investment goals. And I had a plan, but little-to-no knowledge in the real estate space. What'd I do? I said "eff it!" and I JUMPED IN. Within a couple of months, I acquired my first rental property, renovated it, and got it rented. That first year as an investor was a whirlwind of ups and downs, dealing with an inept property manager, a squatter in my garage, and a property needing $16,000 in repairs, but there's no such thing as losing...you either win or you learn :) So, I sold that property, built a new team (lender, agent, property manager) and bought a few more units on my own. Next, I decided to "take the leap" into the multifamily world in 2018, by passively investing in two deals to learn the ropes, and connect with successful operators in the industry. That led me to where I am today...operating and managing my own multifamily portfolio in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm the founder of Kenji Capital, which focuses on value-add multifamily investing in "A-class" locations.
