My wife and I bought our first home back in 2010. I have always played everything on the safe side so in 2017 we started a Ramsey plan and had it paid off by the first of 2019. I have planned on using it for a rental from the start. I don't regret paying it off but I wish I had learned more about leveraging and let someone else pay it off. We are closing on our next home in November and trying to learn as much as possible right now before we become landlords. Hoping to find a brrrr deal next year.
