My wife, Melissa, and I purchased our first real estate investment property in late 2016. We purchased a duplex with one side rented. We updated the other side and added off street parking to the property before renting the other side. I'm a self employed software developer with a full time contact for a company building automated HVAC equipment. Melissa is a private duty nurse. We are also both actively involved in the work of Second 8th Week Ministries. We aim to provide an environment for safe and happy homes to residents while also investing in our community to support homeless shelters and food kitchens for those who are struggling. We're slowly building an investment portfolio in real estate.
