Hi, My name is Alena but everyone calls me Ali for short, like the famous boxer. Although I have zero boxing skills, I love the RE ring and am not afraid to get my hands dirty on a flip. :-) In 2017, two years into working in advertising as a creative art director, I quickly realized, that I could use my creative brain for achieving something bigger than an Adidas campaign - my own FI. Three years later I took my first plunge and bought my first property (with zero money down), which I figured would make an excellent wedding venue. Since then I have learned a lot about project management and RE in general. Now, in 2022, I am selling the property with both forced and market appreciation for almost double the price including the business. In the near future, I am eager to take the next step with real estate and develop a solid cash flow with a short-term rental property while also building equity. With that cash flow and some leftover cash, I would love to acquire long-term rental multiplexes, which will allow me to further pursue my passion for real estate and financial freedom. My plan is to buy subdued properties with cash from my first property while using financial leverage to grow my portfolio faster. I am also eager to learn more about creative financing down the road.
