Relocated from NYC to Las Vegas in 2005. The city has treated me well, I have always had steady income, and just recently began saving towards my real estate goals. Read "The Book on Rental Property Investing" by Brandon Turner. It was a great read, and am now looking to network and build relationships with local investors. I love what I do for work, and plan on working while hoping to build a rental property portfolio that will provide financial freedom when the time is right.
