Arden Hillstrom is an Author, Speaker and Financier. Early in life, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the path I wanted to take. ( Like many of You I’m sure you understand what I mean) . My initial goal was to work on Wall Street. (Yes, How Stella got her groove back Wall Street) I joined many groups, clubs, and organizations that dealt with finance and that supported fair home buying and lending practices for minorities. While in college I joined SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Business Club for Entrepreneurs and one of my assignments was to volunteer my time to a small business. the next step was residential mortgages, so I became a Mortgage Broker, owned my own branch and had several franchises. Since I had to understand all the facets of a mortgage loan, I fell into credit repair haphazardly, to me, credit repair was just another key element to closing loans. When the residential mortgage industry slowed down, I transitioned to commercial mortgages, helping real estate investors rebuild their personal credit and purchase real estate investment properties the correct way, which is by using only business credit to purchase as many homes as they want. For my clients that were trying to rebuild and reinvent themselves after the World Famous Real Estate - Mortgage Industry Crash in 2008, it was then that another epiphany hit me, about how much credit repair education and assistance was needed. Since, I loved the mortgage industry I remained a Commercial Mortgage Broker securing funding for investors, which allowed me to still work with Wall Street (Yes, I was happy!!) and I quickly added building business credit and securing funding for entrepreneurs, allowing them to start a new business or expand an existing one. I began my mission by assisting in creating opportunities that offer fair practices for minorities, entrepreneurs and business owners. My drive, determination and ambition to help others has afforded me many accolades which includes National Women’s Business Leadership Award for my contributions to the Minority Lending and Home-Buying Lending practices and guidelines. I had the honor of being a Delegate for a term for the Small Business Association.
