2021 Currently, finishing out my 16th year as an elementary educator to focus on real estate investing and personal life coaching as a full-time Entrepreneur which starts June 1, 2021. I'm a Realtor with expertise in short term rental strategies for SFH and apartment units. I'm a Passive MF real estate investor with one deal having gone full cycle in Arlington, TX and currently invested in Phoenix, AZ. I also have personal expertise in analyzing mid-century single family homes after having moved into a 1957 Pig with Tons of Lipstick. You know what they say, experience is the best teacher. Investments: MF Passive deal in PHX SFH log cabin STVR in the Texas Hill Country Management Portfolio: two SFH Texas Hill Country Homes as STRs two manufactured homes in Texas Hill Country as STRs four apartment units in Scottsdale, AZ as STRs 2018 I'm a full-time elementary school teacher-librarian, a mom and wife. I live in Bedford, TX and am looking to learn as much as I can about several different types of REI including rehabbing to hold and turn-key rentals. My husband and I just started investing in apartments passively and are excited that our first deal (a 71-unit in Arlington, TX) will come to completion about 4 years early. Hooray! Experience as of Fall 2018: 71-unit MF passive investor since June 2017. About to close on our first SFH which has the potential to become a short term rental due to location and features of the property. Once we close and clean it up, we will find a long-term tenant to start cash flowing. Our goal is to acquire at least one more SF/duplex in 2019 for monthly income. Experience before 2018: The only RE experience I have is buying my own personal home (and rehabbing parts of it since we didn't know we were buying a fixer upper). I am working with an investor RE agent here in DFW who is also taking a small role in mentoring me through my first several rental deals. We haven't gotten our first one done yet but we are hoping to have our first tenants in place before Summer 2016. Real Estate Goals: I'd like to keep consistently working toward progress with real-life action steps like talking with people in the business, networking at RE meetings, calling sellers.
