Homeowner in San Diego. Owned and managed two rental properties in Utah with healthy cashflow and appreciation, sold off and reinvested in San Diego investment where we added an ADU. Avid DIYer who does all aspects of home renovation, up to design and complete build. Knowledge on how to get the permits through, do the design work in CAD, integrate and foster collaboration between architect and structural analysts. Owner/builder of all aspects of ADU including site clearing (yes, learned to drive a bobcat and use chainsaw to cut down trees), rough (trenching) plumbing, foundation forms and rebar, frame erection, sheathing, supply plumbing, electrical, drywall, roof, insulation, windows, floors, siding, HVAC, finishing touches...we even designed and CNC'ed the kitchen cabinetry ourselves. Major DIY upgrades to the rentals (flooring, granite tile counters, stone backsplashes, crown molding lighting, fencework, concrete work, metal work, plumbing etc...). Proud owner of 2x 3D printers and a large CNC. Self-installed standing seam metal roof and complete PV solar system (permits and all..). Always up for a good challenge, interested in new investment opportunities, learning and lobbying to create laws that make sense for the community.
