I've spent 20 years in construction and remodeling, everything from hands-on trade work to managing projects for general contractors, before starting Lee Project and Construction Management LLC, where I now work as an owner's rep and project manager for investors and homeowners across the Louisville/Southern Indiana (Kentuckiana) market. What got me here: after years of seeing projects go sideways because of vague contracts, no real payment schedule, or nobody on the owner's side who actually understood construction, I wanted to build something that fixes that gap directly, someone who works for the investor or homeowner, not the contractor. These days, I focus on helping investors, especially those building a portfolio while still working a day job, manage bid reviews, contract negotiation, and full project oversight on rehabs and remodels. I also maintain a vetted network of local subcontractors, so clients aren't starting from scratch every time a project needs a specific trade. Outside of work, I'm always glad to talk shop, contractor red flags, rehab budgeting, deposit/payment structuring, whatever's useful.
