Experience: First bought a house in Las Vegas in 2010. Currently rent it and have done very well on equity. Second, in 2017 helped my brother get a flipper in Salem, IL while I was deployed to Turkey. Third, bought a townhouse in Tucson from a probate and gained about 30% equity on closing. I currently live in it and I pay approx. half of what rent was costing me. Next we bought anther flip in Salem in the spring of 2018 that needed far easier work than the first, but a complete remodel. I bought another house in Aug 2018 with minor fire damage to the attic. It needs half the trusses and a new roof along with a complete kitchen overhaul and the usual full interior paint and floor coverings. This newest one I intend to employ Brandon Turner's world-famous BRRRR strategy and hire some of it out. Real Estate Goals: 10 single-family rentals 2 flips 2 multi-family homes 1 Florida beachfront vacation rental that I can occasionally stay in. Build $1 million in net worth in less than 10 years.
