I am originally from the Milwaukee area, but have spent time living in Madison, Wisconsin while at college, and also in the Maryland and Washington DC area. I've recently returned to Wisconsin with my family to continue my career in real estate and be closer to our extended family. My wife is a former interior and model home designer who now stays home to care for our two wonderful children and dog. We love watching all of the home improvement and design shows and wonder what steps we need to take to do that for ourselves. Experience: I currently own two single family home rentals. I have been in many different aspects of construction and real estate in my life. I started working as a mason, as well as for a small builder doing a little bit of everything. I have a degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from one of the top real estate programs in the country, the University of Wisconsin Madison. After graduation I moved to the DC area to work for a big national builder where I spent time working as a construction manager, customer service coordinator, estimator, and sales consultant. I've had a real estate license in Wisconsin since 2003, but have never practiced in resale of homes, always new home construction and sales. After moving back to Wisconsin I have continued my work in new home sales and building. I've owned three personal residences in my life including one that was bought and sold during the worst housing recession ever that required me to bring every penny I had to the sale of the home just to get out from it. I thoroughly enjoy building homes and learning everything I can about real estate. Real Estate Goals: My goals are to start acquiring and renovating investment real estate primarily 2/3/4 unit homes with a progression to larger buildings after gaining some experience. Currently Seeking: A mentor to help me understand better deal analysis, finding deals, and executing them. I want to start with 2/3/4 unit homes, am not afraid of remodeling projects, and build a portfolio of homes that will bring positive cash flow and passive income .
