I am a heavy civil construction Project Engineer with a single family home purchase under my belt that I started out house hacking, & have now turned into a stand alone cash flowing rental by taking advantage of value add opportunities. Being a live in land lord helped me learn some important lessons as well as warm up to managing properties. Currently, I am pursuing a few more value add opportunities with the SFH that will benefit both cash flow and equity even further. Recently, I moved into a foreclosure unit as a renter with intentions to purchase the unit utilizing a HELOC from the SFH if the opportunity is available and the price is right. At this point, my primary focus and interest is in "buy and hold" investing, with an open mind to flipping as well. Generating automated passive income is my ultimate goal. The details of this goal are becoming more specific the more that I learn. Living in Hawaii and being from Washington State, my areas of interest/focus will be the Hawaiian Islands as well as the west coast of the continental US; but I keep an open mind to other areas. I am enjoying the knowledge sharing, potential business opportunities, and potential friendships that this community makes possible.
