I am a recent law school grad working in the finance industry. I spend much of my free time working to grow a portfolio of multifamily and student rentals in midwestern cities that I know well (where I grew up and where my family is). I'm new to BP (what a resource!) but have significant experience with student rentals and am looking to expand aggressively in multifamily and student rentals now that I am no longer in grad school. My goal is to be a full time real estate investor in five years or less. Experience: Student rentals. Multifamily. BRRRR. Real Estate Goals: Short-term goal: to set up systems to manage my existing portfolio so that those activities take less than one hour per week of my time. That will allow me to focus on acquisitions. Mid-term goal (3 years): to execute a multifamily deal with more than 50 units in which I pull all my money back out through refi within 18 months. Longer-mid-term (5 years): to become a full time real estate investor. Currently Seeking: Multifamily Private money.
