Design is in my blood and respite is vital to life. I'm just launching my STR Empire and having a blast. Just purchased my first door and working now to get it furnished and lsited! I've got an art degree and have been a para-planner for the past 15 years (focused on running marketing and operations). Prior to that I was as an executive assistant for a home builder, appraiser, and rental manager. I'm married and have four children, the oldest (the boy I'm kissing is in my banner pic) is highly impacted with Autism and needs round-the-clock supervision. For his sake I want to build my portfolio, so I can be available to care for him while earning a passive income. My personal experience as a caregiver made me into a believer in the power of rest and rejuvenation and this dumps fuel on my long term interest in the short term rental market. When I was in college, my boyfriend (now husband for over 25 years) and I used to say we wanted to buy a Bed & Breakfast when we retired. But now I say, why wait?
