I own one rental property in South Bend, Indiana, that I utilize as a short-term rental. It's near the University of Notre Dame, and is a draw for football games and other events on campus. I earned Super Host status on Airbnb after 5 months of hosting, and we're still sporting a perfect 5-star rating. I am looking to expand my portfolio with long-term rentals in South Bend, and I want to get really good at analyzing deals – focusing on single family homes or small multi-family homes that I can add value to / force appreciation. I'll look to leverage private money for the initial purchase and renovation, possibly refinancing into longer term financing after a period of time agreed upon with my PMLs. My goal is to work my way up to $10K of passive income per month.
