Charles DeJournette

I was born and raised in a hard working 4 generation family structure which owned and operated a restaurant, poolroom, hotel and a taxicab company in Greensboro, N.C from about 1927 until about 1940 when urban renewal bought our properties and my grand dad purchased a 173 acre working farm in what is now Virginia Beach , Va. I worked my way through The Ohio State University where I Majored in Real Estate and Accounting. I did not graduate drafted into the US Army. Established C.DeJournette Realty in 1959 Norfolk, Virginia. Received a comendation from HUD for bringing about orderly housing intergration in Va. Beach, Va.; elected Vice President of the Virginia Board of Realtist, Chairman of the Board The Tidewater Area Business League. Moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1970 where I founded Success & Associates Realty and purchased a ReMax franchise for DeKalb ReMax.
