I left my intense, 24-year career in June of '15 and have used the free time to research other RE investment options besides the passive ones I am involved in currently. I've been a member of the 506 investor group (see Mark Robertson profile in BP) since Dec of '15 and feel like I've earned a mini-MBA in CRE investing by virtue of all the high quality, experienced, investors who participate and share information, wisdom, wins/losses etc in that forum. Experience: Other than my primary residence and a very painful learning experience w/a condotel venture in '08, my RE investing experience to date involves 2 SFR's in Florida and passive participation in various syndicated partnerships (via crowdfunding platforms and certain sponsor direct deals) around the country in a mix of asset classes. Real Estate Goals: Develop enough passive income to pay the light bill, take some fun trips and provide me enough flexibility that I can avoid jumping back into the rat race full time (unless it's on my own terms).
