I bought my first investment property to support my parents. Last year I stopped traveling as an electrician and decided to start an electrical contracting company in my local area. One of my customers is a real estate investor who put the idea of really becoming a real estate investor in my head by introducing me to the BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast. After a while I noticed that the tenants of the only eye sore on my street had moved out. I contacted the owner and she was ready to sell. She also owned several other properties she wants to get rid of. Now I have a business partner and we are under contract with this lady to buy 14 properties.
