I'm a Cincinnati, Ohio native, but have been living in the Dayton area since 2013, and married to fellow BP member Darrin Carey since 2014. I love to read, fish, garden, cook, and shoot pool. Oh ... and also, I'm a real estate addict. : ) Experience: A licensed Broker in Ohio, I work primarily with investors and distressed property owners. Consulting for aspiring real estate investors needing advice in the development of their investment strategy is something that my husband and I both enjoy. I have a very broad background in many hands-on areas of real estate, starting with my upbringing around a general contractor (dad), and landlords owning single and small multifamily properties (grandparents). Since then, I have many rehab projects under my belt - both large and small - and I've even GCed a home construction from the ground up! Some projects ended with profits, and some with valuable lessons learned, BUT no project scares me - bring it on! In addition to the "school of hard knocks", I also have a 2-year Applied Business degree, majoring in Real Estate and Property Management. This section would not be complete without giving credit to my membership with the REIA in Greater Cincinnati. Without hesitation, I can say that I would not be where I am today without it. Everyone who is considering investing in real estate should seek out a local REIA (beware though - not all are created with the same mission). On occasion, my husband and I attend the REIA in Dayton, and we also host an informal monthly Networking Group here in the Dayton area. Real Estate Goals: In addition to the Brokerage, my current focus is creating cashflow through single family rentals and wholesaling together with my husband. I absolutely love the art of the deal, and enjoy putting together win-win creative deals of all types. Currently Seeking: Networking, referral opportunities, and like-minded people. For the right deal (of course), I would consider a joint venture in Cincinnati or Dayton and surrounding areas.
