I live in upper Michigan, a tourist city called Traverse City. My background is finance, with the past 15 years working in my family’s own family office – managing our investment portfolio, which, over time, has included a lot of office and retail rentals, vacant land, oil & gas interests, stocks, as well as private equity, including automotive-related manufacturing, oil & gas services, home building, body armor, excavation, etc. I have recently become a mom. She’s nearly 10 months. As such, and due to trying to also stay somewhat on top of other investments from home, I have nearly zero time.
