I moved to New York in 2003 to pursue a career in Finance and fell in love with the city and have been here ever since. While my career focus has always been either traditional Finance or now Fintech, I have always had a keen interesest for real estate. I have purchased 4 different single family properties over the past 7 years - 3 for investment and 1 for personal enjoyment. Regardless of the reason behind the purchase, I have always enjoyed the process. I thoroughly enjoy researching a city or neighborhood, learning the statistics and metrics of an area inside and out, and then coming up with a thesis I'm confident enough to follow through with on a purchase. As I'm sure is the case with many people on this site, I have spent countless hours going down rabbit holes uncovering the real estate markets of cities all across this country and I love doing it. The reason why I joined Bigger Pockets is because I want to get better at this and then share my experiences with others. And I want to treat my interest in real estate investment less like a hobby and more like a mission with specific goals attached to it. My specific goals are to: ->Rotate equity I have in NY real estate to other markets with better cash flow potential ->Invest money that I have traditionally put into the stock/bond market into multi-families ->Create a large passive income stream over the next 3-5 years through investing in multi-families ->Establish at least one market with local partners I'm very excited to be in business with (contractors, agents, lenders, property managers) I live in Dumbo, Brooklyn with my fiance and 2 rescue dogs.
