I am 30, with an MBA, and full time desk job. This is the career that I thought I wanted till I realized that it is an unfulfilling black hole. Thankfully I have a loving wife and a new baby to help me through the 9-5 game. In my free time I volunteer for a local non profit doing their book keeping. I also spend as much time as possible hanging out with friends and family. Currently we own Maddys "OL' No 6" Tavern. This started as a side project but is turning into a full time career for my wife. Experience: I've been in the real estate game since I was 12. I helped my gpa remodel and flip his C class properties all the way till was 20. I didn't realize at the time what it was he was trying to accomplish. When he made it to 35 doors he began to downsize. He refused to hire anyone to help, make a partner, or bring on prop man, claiming the were all crooks. About three years ago I found bigger pockets and decided to jump in. I bought my first place and made every mistake. Then I bough a commercial property for a side remodel and got slammed with permit costs of 10k plus signed and sealed blueprints. So I bought a third commercial property. This one was bought an auction for pennies on the dollar and was fully furnished. Our goal to create a poker parlor in an area that was undeserved. This project was going great. Until 30 days after opening when the building caught on fire and we lost 90% of everything. Fast forward 541 days, one private insurance adjuster, and dozens of inspectors we are now reopened with a premier tavern that has a draw radius of 25 miles. Now I can finally get back on focus. With a stable business and my w2 income we are ready to start again on real estate. This time with a laser focus, a solid business plan and a bank that is already on board for the first few loans. Real Estate Goals: My goal was to quit my salaried position by my 30th birthday. Being blessed with a new born has changed this mindset. I will hold this job for the insurance and stability till we have a years cash reserves, solid insurance plan, and few properties under wraps. New goals are to create a lifestyle business, that will allow me time with family and friends. Currently Seeking: Multifamily, triple N, partnerships
