Experience: Hi I'm David. In 2016 I purchased a single family home that needed rehabbed. Life took turns that were unforeseen and it took so much longer than what I had planned. I was just out driving for dollars one day looking for my first deal. I went down a street that I never went down until that day. I saw a sign for an out of town real estate place and stopped to collect the info. It turned out to be a 2003 1800+ sq/ft home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. After careful consideration and honestly being scared to death to buy my first deal, I actually made the deal. I paid 46k for the place and without even being finished I had it appraised at 106k. I have only put 9k into it to get it back to like new condition. Real Estate Goals: I currently work a factory job that pays really well, but I work a month of days, then a month of nights and all 12 hour shifts. 6 years in, I'm ready to move on. I wanted to buy and flip houses, but really love the idea of buy/hold deals. I know that sounds vague but here is the deal. I want to build my dream of being able to spend a lot of time with my family and not always have to be up and gone off to my shiftwork job before they even wake for school or even their day off on the weekend.
