Motivated, self-starter, passionate about growth financially and spiritually I work on my self on a daily bases now to better myself and family as a whole. I first started thinking about real estate investing when I was 18 I read the book no money down and really started getting interested in furthering my carrier in construction to one day be fixing and flipping my own property using what I learned as a carpenter to be better versed in the real estate industry. By the time I turned 21 I was making 20 an hour being a high school drop out and a very quick learner in the trades. I decided that with the knowledge I had acquired it was time for me to start my own remodeling company! So I went out on my own working for cash under the table and just starting to understand taxes, the first time I tried doing them my self realizing that I was going to have to pay in a bunch of money I decided to hire someone else to do them lol. Best decision ever instead of paying in I received money back. So I continued on down the path of working for myself with the major up's and downs of the trades always wondering when I was going to be able to build something where I would always have work and never have to think about how I was going to pay my bills on time lol. So every winter going through the same thing of not having any work/money barely coming in and then booming during the summer like it would never stop. I had my first son when I was 21 as well which majorly helped me to move forward to start working for myself the relationship with the person I had my son with was rough and didn't last. Also back when I was 17 I lost my driver's licenses for years learning the hard way being young and dumb so that made things even worse trying to work for yourself without transportation and relying on someone else or paying someone else to drive you to jobs. So onward and upward I kept moving forward never giving up through my life knowing I could do better. Skipping ahead to when I met my wife after many years of going down the path of trying to build something from nothing with nothing but motivation and drive no proper schooling or education on how to manage money or manage a business I read a lot online and books I had available following how other people do things to keep me pushing to the next level. So I meet my wife and we have now my second son after a year of being together and new we were meant to be forever we get married deciding to seal the deal forever. Now its 2012 and I'm more motivated then ever I have a family and that is amazing and loving and support me in anything I can and want to do. So I get my licenses back and now it's time to kick it into overdrive get my business built up to the point that we will never have to worry again. lol So I start adverting trying to build to the biggest remodeling company in Maine I did a great job at it except for the employees hire and firing and subs just were not up to par on the quality of work I was or my homeowners were looking for there is and was always something that we had to fix or replace due to people just not caring as much about your business or other peoples homes as much as you do. I was doing great got up to 18 guys going at one point bringing in 35,000 a month and was beyond stressed but happy knowing I had plenty of work if I could just figure out how to find better quality help. I was no longer worried about having work during the winter because I had enough for 5 crews in work sold and was still selling I was at the point I could hire and fire up to 18 -20 guys a year. But I got tired of that and having other subs better subs fixing the lesser guys work. Or just getting complaints due to lack of good help. So I made packets to weed people out so if they did not meet the requirements they would not fill out the packet and start working which was great at first lol. Then people stopped filling out apps people stopped responding back to emails and phone calls because they did not try and meet the requirements to work for me. Then in 2016-17, we run into not having adequate subs to do all this work I have sold to protect myself so I thought and my family from never having to worry about work or money coming in to pay the bills. Now my bills are huge but not enough work getting done to pay the bills. even though I had the work but now I'm missing the workers... So next thing you know I'm receiving phone calls letters from lawyers of people wanting refunds and not wanting us to complete work because things were taking to long and or us not being able to complete work because we did not have the adequate help to move forward to the next step on projects. I'm now buried in debt and no one to help me to dig. I'm lost no idea how to recoup from this or how to move forward. But I still keep moving forward buried my head in books and self-help, money management, meditation, motivational videos I worked on myself to make sure that I don't lose myself and am able to move forward without giving up and allowing this to happen again. Then I run across the book rich dad poor dad and thought wow why have I not read this yet. lol, I then think back to a teen who had goals of being a millionaire in real estate and remembered I wanted that more than anything then and remembered why I even started becoming more involved in carpentry. So I go to one of his seminars not having much money but looking for more info on how I can get into this rei with no credit, no money, and no assets. hmmm well, believe me, I remembered back to the books I read before. Then I invested in software and more books from the seminar and have been studying everything under the sun for the past two years to rebuild and secure myself like I never had before and im jumping into real estate investing with both feet now. With the knowledge, I have in rei and general contracting I'm ready and I feel great! I have my whole life on a payment plan until I build my assets collum to crush the debt and start building good debt with real estate assets. I'm working towards JV fix and flips using OPM and JV Commercial apartment building's using OPM. learning how to structure deals and building a network of people to have plenty of people to learn from and to grow with and expand things over a very thought out period of time. I had a general contracting company that was grossing about $400,000 a year and was set to hit a million the following year until it all came crashing down. So now I'm planning on building and multi-million - billion dollar empire in rei. I'm now 35 and have my third son on the way and I am very pumped about that! I am always learning and always will be I do not know everything and don't plan on it. I have multiple flows of income I'm working on without real estate and now I'm adding in all the flows of real estate so there is no limit to what I can and will accomplish join me and let's grow and build together!
