Born in St. Louis raised to believe that we have to earn money and retire at 64 with 2 million in retirement. Recently discovered this to be a horrible strategy and start investing in real estate TODAY. Don't wait to buy real estate....... Came across bigger pockets and have yet to look away. Experience: Construction and Facilities management degree, long time renter, some residential construction experience. Real Estate Goals: Looking to get into owner occupied duplex and implementing the BRRRR strategy. Then taking out a HELOC to put down on a bigger investment. Short term goals are to own 10 units by the end of 2019. Long term goals are to do a 1031 exchange for properties in a coastal market and use the equity built up to invest in multi-family income properties. All while working a full time job, or perhaps retire within the next 10 years.
