Experience: I haven't done my first deal...yet. I have been actively pursuing different educational opportunities to learn as much as I can about real estate investing e.g. listening daily to the BiggerPockets podcast and webinars, reading books and articles about the various investment strategies, going to local real estate meet ups, etc. In October 2017, I attended the black belt investors' tour in Cleveland, Ohio, as the real estate prices in this market are especially attractive to me. Since the tour, I have been educating myself on the various real estate strategies and networking with other real estate investors and professional, in order to identify what appeals most to both my long term and short term goals. In addition to investing, I just began studying to obtain my California real estate license this year. Real Estate Goals: Short Term: 1. Obtain my California real estate license this year. 2. Secure California property for house hack. 3. Purchase 3 properties for each of my 3 children within the next 3 years. 4. Create passive income of $1000/month by the end of 2018. 5. Partner with investor(s) Long Term: 1. Retire from my career in the medical device industry to become a full-time real estate investor before the age of 45. Currently Seeking: -Advice, Tips, and information for how to effectively obtain my first property (point me in the right direction and I'll do the work to apply and take action). -Lenders, Agents, Contractors, and Property Management referrals in Cleveland, Ohio and surrounding areas. -Individuals with experience investing in the markets I am interested in doing business or with experience investing in long-distance real estate. Currently reading David Greene's Long Distance REI book. -Ways to build capital utilizing creative real estate strategies i.e. using very little of my own money. -Hard money lenders willing to work with a new investor and ways to attract private money lenders. -Tips on how to maintain a full-time job while working to eventually retire. -Tips on acquiring property specifically for AirBnB.
