I am a retired Professional Longboard Surfer, Retired Director of Cardiopulmonary Care, divorced father of two adult sons, one is a MD and the other is finishing a PhD/MD, and up until two years ago I owned 2 houses and 1 apartment building. Then I had surgery to fuse 4 discs in my neck, I then sold 1 rental house and the apartment building after I had already refurbished the interior and exterior of the apartment building. When I went to purchase another property, the bank told me that all the money was gone, my ex had taken the money and filed for divorce and ruining my credit at the same time. Everything happens for a reason, while my marriage of 28 years ended 2 years ago, I have recently met my best friend, and closest companion. What makes this best friend so special is she also had owned rental properties, rehabbed the properties herself, is an electrician, and lost her properties to a divorce 5 years ago. Together, I feel that we can take on any project, tackle it, tame it, and frame it for sale. We do not plan to do all the work ourselves, as that would take us away from finding and doing more projects. We would love to find a good mentor in our area to help us get started with a property under contract so we don't get analysis paralysis, and waste a perfect opportunity to change our past and create a legacy for our children and grandchildren. We are both very coachable and look forward to all the help we can get.
