I'm an AudioVideo Consultant working in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Over the course of my 35 year career, I've focused on AV design & installation, project management, emerging technologies and customer satisfaction. I began staging business shows in 1980 when I was hired by Mario Pellegrini to work in the Multimedia Department at United Way Productions in Alexandria, Virginia. During my tenure there I managed hundreds of business shows of all kinds, large and small, simple and complex. I learned what the phrase "the show must go on" means and what it takes to deliver a flawless event. After working at the United Way of America, I moved to New York City and began producing business shows for Doswell Productions. This enabled me to expand into all manner of business communications in many different settings, including large trade shows. Eventually, as media and communications became digital, I found myself working with an ever increasing array of digital media hardware and software – and became quite adept at employing digital tools and resources. In the late 90's I held a management position at the Newseum when it was located in Arlington, Virginia. There I was responsible for the day to day operations of a large, high-tech museum. This was an intensely detail oriented job that required a very high degree of multitasking. In 2001, I began consulting and my services expanded into the residential market providing Home Automation, Security, Whole House Audio and Home Theater design and installation.
